The conference is held at the University of Hertfordshire in the New Capital. The New Capital is about 40 minutes from Downtown Cairo. You can find more information on the venue by visiting this link

Yes. There is free Wifi at the venue. 

While we organize our conference with a focus on highlighting the work of African ELT professionals, we also welcome presenters and attendees from outside Africa. We have international members and regular conference participants from around the globe. 

No, you can submit a proposal and attend the conference without being nominated by your local teacher association since this conference is open to all ELT professionals in Africa and beyond. There are no conditions for attendance.

No, Africa ELTA offers the PCE for free. However, you will have to pay the registration fees to attend the Main Conference. 

You will need to check the information at the local Egyptian consular office in your country to know how to issue a visa to come to Egypt.  You can check visa information on this link https://www.egyptembassy.org/travel/visa-requirements/


Conference organizers can only issue conference presenters a conference letter to take to your local consular office to apply for your visa. We do not offer any other visa assistance nor issue the visa for you. It is your sole responsibility to check the information on the visa and apply yourself. 

We have a list of hotel recommendations posted on the website. You will need to select your hotel and make the booking yourself. Africa ELTA will not make any accommodation bookings for conference delegates. 

There will be no catering during the conference. There are restaurants at the venue where you can dine in or take a short coffee break for a fee. Make sure you have some Egyptian Pounds in cash to buy food or drinks at the venue as needed. 

Your conference registration includes access to all the conference sessions, the exhibition, and a conference bag.
